Yes, this means you.

It's official De-Lurking Week in Blogland, which means you should really leave me a comment. Even if you've never done it before. Yes, even if you're just a family member, in fact especially if you are a family member. Even if you aren't an "internet person" and just read this blog in hopes that you will see a photo of me pregnant (you know who you are, and I know too), or if you found it because you are actually looking for information about Noel Coward. Just click below on "Comments." Even if you leave a fake name. I suppose even if you want to tell me what a huge loser American I am and I would love Germany if I just tried harder. (Or maybe that reader has moved on?) But, really, leave me a comment. And if you happen to be an unborn child that hasn't yet learned to type, you can assume that De-Lurking Week means that you should arrive somewhere near your due date, please.

Happy De-Lurking Week! Except I've commented before, so maybe it doesn't count.

Ok Blythe, I'm leaving a comment for you. I see I'm the first.. well, I just want to let you know that I really enjoy reading your blog.. especially since I'm planning to marry my German and move there this year. It's been really fun and interesting for me to read all the blogs you guys post and to get the real scoop on what life is likely to be like for me. I cannot wait to move to my new home. I cannot wait to marry my German.. And I guess I'll add my voice to the rest of the bloggers once I'm there (hehe). I'm glad all is well in Babyland. And I hope he or she will be considerate enough to arrive at the expected time. I keep coming back to get those updates! So keep writing! Sending hugs from America (while I'm still here)... Isabelle

Erin - It totally counts if you've commented before. In fact, you get an extra gold star. Which means what? I'm not sure.

Isabelle - Thanks for your nice comment and the good baby vibes. Good luck with the wedding and beyond!

Hey B! I'd send you baby contraction wishes and all that, but I don't know how lucky I'd be. I worked a week past my due date and finally got induced. I even ate jalapenos and er... did other recommended activities to move things along. Nothin.

you know we read?? I want to know everything!! :-) Know that I am living vicariously through you...if Steve and I could figure out how to commute from Germany we'd be your neighbors in a heartbeat! Although, I will gladly leave the having a baby in a foreign country to you...when we are done with that we'd join you if we could!!

Blythe,
I'm still a faithful reader and have enjoyed hearing about every step of the pregnancy and your time in Germany. I hope you won't slack off once the baby comes because I depend on you for a quick break, a guaranteed smile and some vicarious pleasure from the photos. Well, maybe you can slack off for a day or two....
We're out there and we're reading!! Keep it up - you are a terrific writer.

The other day while discussing Brian and his job at LC, my mom said, "Brian is like the new Blythe Butler now." That's right, you are apparently a standard of comparison in my family. I think that makes you famous.

I'm sending you good baby vibes as well. I can't wait for the photos.

Wow, I'm the new Blythe Butler?! I don't know how that's possible...but, Cool!

Your blog is always a stop of mine on the information super-highway. keep 'em coming!

I'm a lurker! I'm a lurker! Yes, I read your blog yet never manage to actually email you. Oops!

I'm glad Brian is the new Blythe. This means I can still hold the title of queen some day...

I love it! I have often wanted to beg people to leave comments, but haven't had the guts. I love your honesty!!

I get so jealous of those blogs with "47 comments" under some 3-line entry!

You know I'm a fan... I'm also patiently waiting for little lord butler to make his way into the world.

I lurk and comment! I hope the little one arrives on time. I was 12 days late when they induced... The Boy arrived on the 13th day. I sure hope your experience is much smoother than mine (due to my body and The Boy-- not the Germans). :)

Blythe,
I am sending positive thoughts your way in these upcoming weeks. I can't wait to meet the little Butler in person or via your blog.

Hey Blythe, I've commented a couple times, but just thought I'd let you know I am a regular. And I'm pregnant in Germany now too (12 weeks) so I depend on your posts about pregnancy!

This is a great idea, I'm going to have to try it as well!

Hi! You're a very talented writer. I enjoy reading your blog! Keep it up.
I'm a Canadian expat living in Switzerland. It's been 9 years so far and I've honestly grown to love it. The first few years were rocky at best so I completely relate to what you're experiencing.
I'm fluent in French but knew ZERO German when I moved here. It was a slow process of on and off learning. I'm finally in a pretty decent place with it but hey, there's always room for improvement. In any event, if I can do it, anyone can.;) All the best.

Thanks, everyone, for your friendly comments and good wishes. I'll keep writing as long as you keep reading. (And family members, you're batting 0 here, it's a little embarrassing.)
